Our story

Eight years in the making

Athena and Uday met the old-fashioned way — in the hallowed lecture halls of UCL, during their Masters in Management, all the way back in 2018.

Uday was deep in his self-declared “party year”, having traded engineering for the greener pastures of business. Athena was the quiet, scorn-faced student at the back of the class, convinced she was far too cool to make friends at uni.

She made one anyway.

Eight years, countless trips, one global pandemic, and a proposal on a shaky boat in Calcutta later — here we are, ready to celebrate the start of the rest of our lives with all of you. We can’t wait!

Getting to Udaipur

Travel, visas & where you’ll stay

Flights

Getting here

Fly into Delhi (DEL) or Mumbai (BOM), then take a short domestic hop to Udaipur — Maharana Pratap Airport (UDR). It’s about an hour in the air from either city, with flights several times a day.

Please leave yourself a generous connection window between your international and domestic flights.

Visas

Read this first

If you hold a UK or Malaysian passport, you’ll need an e-Visa to enter India.

  1. Use the real website: indianvisaonline.gov.in — there are dozens of lookalike sites that will charge you 5× the actual fee.
  2. Check your passport — You will need at least six months’ validity to travel.
  3. Don’t leave it late — e-Visas usually come through in a few working days, but apply at least a month ahead, just in case :)
  4. Travelling on another passport? Check your own rules early — and let us know if we can help.

Questions

Asked & answered

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP by 30 September 2026.

RSVP link will be sent to you via WhatsApp.

What should I wear?

Each event’s dress code is in the wardrobe planner.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately we’ve had to keep the numbers tight, so we can only welcome the names printed on your invitation.

How do I get there, and where am I staying?

Fly into Delhi or Mumbai, then a one-hour hop to Udaipur. The full picture, including the visa steps, is in the travel section.

Should I bring a gift?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest present. A lot of you are crossing continents and burning precious annual leave to be with us, and that is already so much more than we’d ever ask for.

If you’d still like to give something, we’d be really grateful for a contribution towards the start of our next chapter together. We’ll share how closer to the day.

Still got a question?

Get in touch with Athena (likely more helpful) or Uday (likely less helpful).
